Both of the organisations discussed on the future development of knitwear industry and policies.

“Knit sector has been contributing rapidly in the country’s economy.

Alongside an inclusive policy, there is no alternative of cooperation of all stakeholders for solving the sector-wise challenges. In this regard, everyone has to care about the owners-workers interest equally, said Salim Osman.

He requested the CPD to extend their cooperation in penning a development plan with the dialogue of owner-worker at the same table.

“It is also my sincere request to the leading think tank to defining the challenges towards expanding new markets across the globe,” said the BKMEA president, adding that the world market position is changing rapidly.

In the response, Golam Moazzem said the plans and thinking of BKMEA will be reflected in the CPD’s RMG study.
