Macroeconomic Analysis for students of Economics


Professor Mustafizur Rahman, Executive Director, CPD made a presentation titled “National Budget FY2014 and the Current Macroeconomic Challenges” at North South University (NSU) on 13 June 2013, as part of CPD’s discussion module on Current Macroeconomic Scenario in Bangladesh and Policy Analysis.

Jointly organised by CPD and the Department of Economics, NSU, the discussion was organised with a view to engaging the students in contemporary issues centring macroeconomic management and national, regional and global developments having implications for Bangladesh. The lecture modules aim at encouraging the students to engage in contemporary macroeconomic policy debate in Bangladesh and improving their understanding about practical consequences of theoretical constructs.

Students took part in the discussion through an interactive Q&A session following the keynote presentation.

M A Hashem, Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU, Professor Amin U Sarkar, Vice-Chancellor, NSU, Professor M Ali Rashid, Chairman, Department of Economics, NSU attended the event among others.
