1. Research Associate for the study on 2030 Agenda and Global Issues
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a think-tank of global repute, will recruit a promising young researcher who is interested to undertake an intellectually challenging position focusing on the study of the United Nation’s 2030 Agenda – Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and current global trade, investment and finance issues. Candidates should have demonstrated academic excellence at all levels of academic career and have to be highly motivated and committed to research work.
Candidates need to have a Post graduate/Masters degree on any of the following subjects –Economics, International Relations, Public Administration, Development Studies-from a reputed university, and should have good exposure to current global development challenges. A minimum CGPA of 3.60 is required, which can be relaxed in case of candidates with overseas Masters degree, publication(s) in journals and relevant job experience. The candidate must have good analytical ability, excellent drafting skill in English, strong communication skill and high computer literacy. Candidates must be capable of displaying learning ability and supportive of knowledge sharing.
Additionally, candidates who have more than two years of relevant research experience at recognised institutions and publications in peer reviewed journals may be considered for the post of Senior Research Associate (SRA).
A gross salary starting from Taka 42 thousand per month for the Research Associate (Starting Salary for SRA is from Taka 55 thousand per month) position will be offered along with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on assessment of the candidate’s qualifications and suitability including experience.

2. Surveyors (Male & Female) for Conducting Baseline Survey of RMG Enterprises
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a think-tank of global repute, will recruit Surveyors (both male and female) for conducting baseline survey for its RMG study titled “New Dynamics in Bangladesh’s Apparels Enterprises: Perspectives on Restructuring, Upgradation and Compliance Assurance”. The candidates will need to have Honours/Masters degree in Social Sciences including Economics, Development Studies, Public Administration and Sociology with good academic results from a reputed university. The recruited persons will conduct field survey of RMG enterprises including data collection, cleaning and inputting; key informants’ interviews; organise and facilitate focus group discussions. Candidates having prior experience on electronic (tablet-based) survey method as well as good exposure on issues related to RMG sector would be considered as added advantage. Also, candidates must be capable of displaying learning ability and frequent field visits.
This position is for two months. A consolidate salary Taka 25 thousand per month along with other admissible field/travel allowances will be offered.
