Publication and Communication Associate

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading think tank in Bangladesh, invites applications from promising professionals interested in pursuing a career in publication and communication.

The position’s responsibilities include language and copy editing in English, proofreading, restructuring and rewriting to improve the text’s readability and language, and making documents ready for publication. Job responsibilities also include creating digital content (short articles and blog posts) and preparing communication content materials for websites and social media.

The successful candidate will need to have a Master’s degree from a reputed university in Social Science, preferably in Economics or English or Journalism or Communication, with a minimum CGPA of 3.60. Educational qualifications may be relaxed in exceptional cases (for example, a proven record of editing academic documents or good experience in publication-related works). The candidate must have excellent drafting ability in English and Bangla and should have adequate digital exposure. The job demands an ability to work under pressure and with creativity and initiative.

The successful candidate will be offered a gross salary starting from Taka 61,600 per month, along with other admissible benefits. The actual compensation package will be based on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Research Associate

The ideal candidate need to have a keen and demonstrated interest in issues related to macroeconomic and fiscal-financial management, development economics and global economic issues. The applicant should have strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills as well as excellent drafting skill. The candidate should be highly motivated, capable of displaying learning ability and a good team player.

The candidate should have a Postgraduate/Master’s degree in Economics or associated disciplines from a reputed university. A minimum CGPA of 3.60 is required, which may be relaxed in case of candidates with a Master’s degree from a reputed foreign academic establishment and/or with publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or relevant job experience. Skills in using software such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, EViews, Tableau, PowerBI, etc, for statistical and econometric analysis are required.

The candidate needs a Postgraduate/Master’s degree in Economics from a reputed university at home or abroad and a track record of consistent academic excellence. The candidate must have excellent ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Skills in using software such as Excel, Stata, R, Python, EViews, Tableau, PowerBI, etc, for statistical and econometric analysis are required. A record of academic publications and experience conducting research, either professionally, freelance or as part of coursework at university, is highly desirable. Internship at CPD 

(under CPD’s Finance and Accounts Section)

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading think tank in Bangladesh (https://cpd.org.bd/;), is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join as a Finance and Accounts Intern. This internship will provide an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in finance and accounts within a renowned research organization.

The prospective candidate will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day financial transactions and accounting tasks and financial records. Additionally, s/he will help process invoices, payments, and receipts, and documentation. The selected candidate will also be expected to support the finance team in any other relevant tasks as assigned.

Requirements: Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field from a reputed university, with a minimum CGPA of 3.60, along with strong academic performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant accounting software is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Interns will be initially recruited for a three-month period, with the possibility of extension or change in job mode based on performance. A monthly allowance of Taka 15,000 will be provided to the intern.
