Setting the Agenda for the Next WTO Round
Perspective from Bangladesh on the Seattle Ministerial Meeting
The paper seeks to project a civil society perspective on Bangladesh’s concerns and expectations regarding the upcoming Third WTO Ministerial Meeting. The paper focuses on the built-in agenda and highlights issues for the Seattle Ministerial; examines the implications of the potential new issues which may find their place in the next multilateral negotiations; and finally, tries to articulate a strategic approach which Bangladesh may follow whilst addressing the issues which may define the contents of the new round.
