The preliminary findings of CPD study on Developing a Framework for a Comprehensive Trade Policy for Bangladesh were shared through an in-house consultation meeting with the stakeholders. The meeting was organised by the CPD in association with Katalyst at the CPD Dialogue Room, on 4 April 2010.
The issues that were discussed at the meeting encompassed setting targets in the relevant policies and inconsistencies among these policies, regulatory issues to be addressed, role of regional and bilateral trade agreements along with concerns on the issues like infrastructure, human resources, global warming and food security. The discussion was attended by researchers, NGO officials and representatives with interest in these issues.
