One of the major tools to achieve Vision-2041, in continuation of Vision-2021, is quality education. The National Education Policy in 2010 is being implemented in phases. Various activities including distribution of free books, stipends, and exploration of creative talents are being continued to improve educational opportunities. The government is committed towards achieving excellence in education and research to move ahead with the agenda of inclusive development. This policy brief highlights the extent of allocation for education sector in the proposed budget of FY2022–23, and also sheds light on allocation for this sector in the Annual Development Plan.
