Mr. Md. Jaouadul Karim is a certified Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) professional. He leads the design, coordination, and implementation of the MEAL framework for CPD’s projects and programmes.
He has over 5 years of experience designing and managing multi-donor development programmes focused on civic engagement, inclusive growth, rural economic development, climate resilience, decent work, and SDG implementation, working with donors including EU, FCDO, USAID, UNDP, DANIDA, IFAD, GAC, GIZ, JICA, World Bank, and PKSF, as well as various UN agencies.
Before CPD, he served as a Monitoring & Evaluation Officer on multi-donor projects, as Project Coordinator at The Hunger Project, Bangladesh, and as Team Leader of Youth Engagement & Support at Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), leading social accountability monitoring and governance initiatives. He began his career as a Child Rights Promoter at Save the Children.
He has led over a dozen studies and evaluations including baseline, midline, and end-line assessments, impact evaluations, and social audits from ToR and methodology design through field coordination, data analysis, and reporting. His expertise spans results-based management, programme design, policy analysis, portfolio management, resource mobilisation, and proposal development, including reporting systems such as KIMS.
He is technically proficient in KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Python, SPSS, STATA, R, Power BI, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, ASANA, and JIRA, alongside graphic design and digital advocacy skills.
He holds an MSS and BSS in International Relations from the University of Chittagong, and is pursuing an MSc in Applied Statistics & Data Science at Jahangirnagar University. He has completed an M&E Certification programme from ITCILO, Italy; a PGD-MEAL from EduPro, UK; a PMP® Certification Course; and a ToT on Organisational Capacity Assessment.
