CPD Distinguished Fellow Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya and CPD Senior Research Associate Ms Umme Shefa Rezbana presented the inception report titled “Decentralised Governance, Corruption and Anti-corruption Measures: An enquiry in the Bangladesh experience” at the strategic meeting of a multi-country study. The report was prepared as part of the study titled Decentralisation, Multilevel Governance, and Corruption which has been initiated by the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London. The two other participating institutions in the study are the University of the Andes, Bogota and Centre for Democracy and Development, Lagos.
The objective of sharing the inception report was to further develop and refine a shared understanding of the overall parameters and objectives of the research project. It was also aimed to present and improve the conceptual framework, approach and methodology for the study, and to use this conceptual framework to specify a set of common (cross-country) and single country research factors the research will focus on.
