Ms Ema Akhter is a Dialogue Associate at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). Previously, she was a Finance & Procurement intern at Arla Foods Bangladesh Ltd. She pursued her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from United International University (UIU), Bangladesh, with Finance as her major. During her academic years, she was the Vice President at UIU Communication Society, where she honed her Event Management skills, Marketing & Branding skills as well as Social Media Management skills. She also served as a teaching instructor at Edvate, Academia and was teacher’s assistant at Vertical Horizon (Vh). Her areas of interest and expertise are Content Writing, Copyediting, Proofreading, Social Media Management, Brand Management and Market Research.

Ms Akhter made significant contributions during CPD’s 30th anniversary commemoration. She played a key role in preparing the Coffee Table Book, a visual narrative of CPD’s journey, and contributed to Thirty Years of CPD – Sharing the Journey, gathering insights from CPD’s well-wishers. She was also involved in developing CPD’s institutional brochure.

Ms Akhter managed live social media posts during the Fourteenth South Asia Economic Summit (SAES XIV) and prepared the Summit Compendium and Conference Proceedings. Additionally, she assisted in proofreading the book Fifty Years of Bangladesh – Economy, Politics, Society and Culture, edited by Professor Rounaq Jahan and Professor Rehman Sobhan, and published by the Routledge Contemporary South Asia Series.
