The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), with support from the Center for Global Development (CGD), recently completed a multi-country study titled ‘How Relevant is the Multilateral Development Bank (MDB) Reform Discourse for Southern MDBs? Evidence from Country-Level Practices’.
As part of this study, a roundtable discussion with eminent journalists was held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. The session was designed to share findings on the role of Southern MDBs as development partners, particularly in the context of graduating Least-Developed Countries (LDCs) like Bangladesh.
Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Distinguished Fellow, CPD, opened the discussion with welcome remarks, framed the context for the exchanges, and provided the concluding summary. Professor Mustafizur Rahman, Distinguished Fellow, CPD, moderated the roundtable discussion, while Mr. Towfiqul Islam Khan, Senior Research Fellow at CPD, delivered the keynote presentation.
