Surveyor
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) will recruit two Surveyors interested in conducting a telephone/online survey. The key deliverable of the Surveyors will be to administer a pre-designed questionnaire, implemented online, on 120 non-government organisations (NGOs) that provide social services in Bangladesh.
The Surveyors will work full-time from Sunday through Thursday from the CPD office [House-40/C, Road-11 (new) Dhanmondi, Dhaka-1209, Bangladesh] and will not be required to travel anywhere or visit any field location. There will be no option of working part-time or working from home.
Requirements: Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and a track record of consistent academic excellence. A high level of proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) is mandatory. Patience and persistence in achieving results are essential. Strong interpersonal skills are required to interact with diverse backgrounds and explain the survey to those unfamiliar with it. Advanced persuasion skills are necessary to encourage participation and completion of the survey. Candidates should have good technology skills and be able to use computers to record and enter responses and complete other related tasks.
Surveyors will be recruited for three months and receive a consolidated salary of BDT 25,000 per month.

Research Internship at CPD
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) a leading think tank in Bangladesh, will recruit a number of Research Interns who are interested to pursue a research-oriented career in the development sector.
The prospective candidates need to take strong interest in pursuing qualitative and quantitative research through field visits, primary data collection, data analysis, draft preparation and other related activities.
CPD internship will provide an Intern with an excellent environment to interact closely within a globally reputed think-tank and to gain first-hand exposure to frontier developmental issues, as well as critical development policy challenges facing the country, region and the world. CPD will involve the Intern in its ongoing research and outreach programmes, where they will be required to provide supervised research and communication inputs. The internship provides opportunities to gain professional experience of conducting research and co-author publications with other senior CPD researchers.
Requirements: The candidate would need to have a degree in Economics/Development Economics with a minimum CGPA of 3.60 from a reputed university, in addition to good academic results. The candidate should have excellent ability to read, write, speak and understand English and Bangla. Skills related to use of statistical analysis tools are highly desirable. Experience of getting writing or research published in any format, and experience of conducting research, either professionally, freelance, or as part of coursework at university are also highly desirable.
Interns will be recruited for three months and, based on their performance, may be considered for a career at CPD.
An allowance of Taka 15,000 per month will be offered to the Intern.
