    The paper assesses the implications of liberalising health services in Bangladesh under the proposed South Asian Framework Agreement on Services (SAFAS). It explores the challenges and potentials of trade in health services under each Modes of the GATS for the regional countries. The paper makes a number of policy recommendations for an integrated health service mechanism under the SAFAS such as promoting telemedicine, facilitating medical tourism, cross-border investment in health sector, and capacity building of health professionals.
