    Anticipating the “First Approximations” from Bangladesh Perspective

    The paper makes an analysis of the state of play of negotiations at the WTO under the Doha Round as of May 2005. The paper takes stock of the emerging trends in various areas of negotiations and seeks to project the possible outcomes (First Approximations) of the then upcoming General Council Meeting to be held in July 2005. The paper further anticipates the roadmap to the Hong Kong Ministerial and attempts to situate the interests and concerns of Bangladesh and other LDCs in this context.
