This is a joint publication between CPD and Agamee Prakashani, which was brought out during the Amar Ekushey Boimela 2014. The publication comprises selected articles on Bangladesh economy.
The objective of the book is to present a coherent and informative analysis of issues that are critical for the advancement of Bangladesh economy in domestic and international contexts. Among these are trends and dynamics of growth, budgetary policy and fiscal framework, inflation and monetary policy, investment, climate change, foreign aid, gender friendly economy, remittances, readymade garments and banking sector. The book succinctly presents Bangladesh’s achievements with regard to some critical sectors of the economy and highlights the remaining challenges along with a set of recommendations.
