Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) has organised a dinner reception in honor of M Syeduzzaman and Professor Emirates Anisuzzaman. The event was organised to show gratitude and honor for their extraordinary contributions for Bangladesh and for CPD as respectable members of Board of Trustees, CPD.
M Syeduzzaman is an eminent administrator and economic policymaker who has served the nation with his momentous wisdom. Professor Dr Anisuzzaman is a preceptor and scholar who has immense contribution in building nation’s conscience. They both had extremely vibrant career.
Professor Mustafizur Rahman, Distinguished Fellow, CPD and writer, novelist and columnist Professor Dr Syed Manzoorul Islam introduced M Syeduzzaman and Dr Anisuzzaman respectively. Dr Fahmida Khatun, Executive Director, CPD delivered Inaugural addressed and the event was conducted by Dr Debapriya Bhattacharya, Distinguished Fellow, CPD. The event was organised on Thursday 20th December 2018 at Lakeshore Hotel, Dhaka.
In concluding remark, Professor Rehman Sobhan, Chairman, CPD remembered about his personal relationship of more than a half-century with M Syeduzzaman and Professor Anisuzzaman and their glorious journey of building CPD since its inception. Moreover, he gracefully mentioned these legendary figures’ significant endowment in nation building. More than hundred renowned guests from various background attended the event and many of them shared their reminiscence with M Syeduzzaman and Professor Anisuzzaman.
