Mamtajul Jannat is a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), specialising in macroeconomics, development finance, and foresight analysis, with a focus on least-developed countries (LDCs) in the global south.

Since joining CPD in 2022, Jannat has developed extensive expertise in foresight analysis related to the future of work and economic transitions in the global south. She has played a key role in multi-country studies that address the development financing challenges faced by Southern nations, particularly graduating LDCs.

Her research interests center on future-oriented strategies that tackle economic challenges while ensuring sustainable progress for marginalized populations in both least-developed and developing countries.

Jannat holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Dhaka and a master’s in development studies from BRAC University. Prior to her role at CPD, she gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant on the HALOW+ project in collaboration with PWC Bangladesh.
