Mashfiq is currently working as a Research Associate in the Power and Energy team of Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). Prior to joining CPD in February 2023, he did his internship at the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and was a founding member of a government funded start-up called Potro.

Mashfiq completed his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and Environmental Science from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet and Master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Management from the University of Twente, Netherlands. as a multi-dimensional research enthusiast, his research interests include Climate Migration, Circular Economy, Political Ecology, Climate Resilience and Socio-technological aspects of Energy sector.
