Md Mehadi Hasan Shamim is a Programme Associate within the Research Division at the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD). He holds an M. Tech. in Energy Systems from IIT Madras and a B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Daffodil International University, bringing expertise in renewable energy, smart grids, and sustainable energy systems. Shamim’s research has focused on techno-economic analysis and lifecycle assessment, particularly for hybrid renewable energy systems, using advanced software tools such as HOMER Pro, PVsyst, and Open LCA. At CPD, he applies this technical background to policy-oriented research in the energy sector. Prior to joining CPD, Shamim taught Physics and ICT, received training in MATLAB, Arduino, and AI tools, and actively engaged in academic clubs, organizing seminars and events.
