Sri Lankan delegates discuss on skills for inclusive growth with CPD researchers

A delegation team from Sri Lanka, comprising members from Sri Lanka Skills for Inclusive Growth (A Partnership between Australian Government and Sri Lankan Ministry of Skill Development and Vocational Training) met CPD researchers on 5 July 2018, at the CPD Dialogue room.

During the discussion, CPD’s Research Director, Dr Khondaker Golam Moazzem emphasised on the need for skills development of the workers in Bangladesh. He stated that Bangladesh should adopt policies giving special importance to vocational training for the workers. Mr Towfiqul Islam Khan, CPD’s Research Fellow, opined that Bangladesh’s educational policies lack the necessary nexus with the economic activities.
