Year in Review 2022: Accountability and Citizen Engagement

It is crucially essential for the democratic process that monitoring of the implementation process of the electoral commitments is done based on a bottom-up approach involving the participation of the broader stakeholders, including the vulnerable and marginalized people. In view of this, CPD took an initiative to provide a platform to the citizens for claiming delivery of the election pledges of the incumbent government through evidence-based research and subnational and national dialogues. This initiative aims to achieve enhanced civic participation in the democratic process within the framework of SDG 16 to ensure the delivery of electoral pledges of the government.
