The present volume focuses on three broad themes. Part I of the volume, on Macroeconomic Management and Policy Reforms, deals with the evaluation of the development process in Bangladesh and the strategic options before the policymakers. This Part mainly focuses on dialogues which deal with macroeconomic performance, development strategies and the design of gender equitable macroeconomic agendas.
Part II on Governance covers dialogues which focus on the state of governance in Bangladesh and deals with such issues as assessment of the state of governance and quality of governance at the central and local levels.
Part III of the volume on Regional Perspectives, covers reports on dialogues which focus on the state of development and cooperation in the region, and deals with such areas as the prospect of regional cooperation within the SAARC, the South Asia Growth Quadrangle, state of human development and livelihood practices in South Asia as well as lessons to be learnt by South Asia from the experiences of China and East Asia.
