Year in Review 2025

Gender Equality and Social Inclusion

CPD advanced its gender and inclusion work by strengthening both evidence and advocacy. An expert group meeting on women in agriculture helped frame how women’s often unpaid farm work contributes to production and how its economic value can be measured and better recognised in policy. Complementing this, a knowledge-sharing workshop for journalists on gender equality, gender data, and gender-responsive budgeting built media capacity to report more accurately on national gender commitments and budget processes. Together, these efforts aimed to make women’s contributions more visible in statistics, public finance and public debate, and to support more inclusive, evidence-informed decision-making.
